We are commemorating the 40th birthday of the Santa Monica History Museum, the 140th birthday of the city of Santa Monica, and the 110th birthday of the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club. Our distinguished honorees are Eddie and Eveyln Guerboian.
This year’s Gala is a celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the First Round the World Flight. Honorees are Beverly Hoskinson and Angel Flight West.

The lecture follows the history of the Santa Monica Beach north of the Santa Monica Pier to Santa Monica Canyon. Marc Wanamaker traces the development of the beach from tents to house to beach clubs on the beach to this day.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we honor the Santa Monica Women of World War II. American Women were crucial to the war effort- especially in Santa Monica.
Author Scott Tracy Griffin will examine the numerous connections between the novelist Burroughs, the character Tarzan, and the City of Santa Monica on the centennial of the first Tarzan book publication.
